I7 Mixed-Use Project

i7 is a mixed-use project which is part of the urban regeneration of the long-established industrial center in the emirate of Sharjah. The project comprises of retail avenues, residences, commercial spaces, educational facilities and aims to make significant contributions to the economic and social development of the emirate.

Designed on a total area of 75,000 m² the project has been split into four zones defining the different usages and functions within the project. Pedestrian and vehicular circulation were carefully studied to allow for a better user experience. Within the project are two educational campuses which form an important part of the masterplan ecosystem.

Geographical, climatic and cultural factors play an important role in the design. A private courtyard park has been designed between the residential buildings so as to create a pleasant microclimate and private recreational space. The park has been positioned 1.5m downward from the elevation of the residences to ensure privacy. This park piazza forms the heart of the project and contains private areas for women, with two swimming pools, running track and a children’s splash park and play area.
